MMA Referee & Judges course and workshop seminar.
Just got back from a great seminar with UFC (and 10th Legion) Referee Marc Goddard
It was an excellent day and was a good start to getting UK MMA in line with the Uified rules.
What was covered -
Referee's 10.00 - 12.00
-Unified rules of MMA and their application
-Referee's role and responsibilities
-Fighters & Corners conduct
-Promoter’s role and responsibilities
-In fight and fight ending scenarios and how to deal with them
Lunch break 12.00 - 13.00
Judges 13.00 - 14.30
-The 10 point must system - understanding and its application to MMA
-Scoring criteria
-Common misconceptions
-Types of decisions and there application
For 10th Legion this was great to see and hear. From the start of our events we have worked with a high standard and are happy to part of that growing process in UK MMA.
